Sachets of rehydration salts are used to replace body fluids lost as a result of diarrhoea. This is particularly important in frail and elderly people and children with diarrhoea.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe contents of the sachets are dissolved in water to provide the fluid. The sugar (glucose) that is in the sachets helps the water and electrolytes to be absorbed from the intestines.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow to use:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDissolve a sachet into 200ml of water. Use fresh water for adults and children. For infants, water should be freshly boiled and then cooled. The solution should be made up immediately before use.
